Headteacher’s Message
Dear Parents, Carers, and our Bel Royal School Community,
As we come to the end of a truly memorable term, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we have achieved together. Guided by our core values – Include, Believe and Achieve – this term has been filled with opportunities for our pupils to shine, and for our community to come together in celebration and support.
Welcome to New Staff
This term, we were delighted to welcome Mrs Steel to our team as EYFS and KS1 Class Teacher. We are excited to have her expertise and enthusiasm as part of our school community.
Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence
One of the highlights of this term was our 50th Anniversary celebrations. It was wonderful to see past and present pupils, staff, and families join us to mark this incredible milestone. The sense of pride and belonging was evident throughout the day, reminding us of the strong foundations upon which our school continues to grow. You can find our 50th Anniversary video here.
Eisteddfods
Our pupils showcased their creativity and talent during the Eisteddfods, embracing music, poetry, and performance with enthusiasm. These events truly reflect our commitment to nurturing confidence and celebrating individuality.
Christmas Fayre – Enterprise in Action
This year’s Christmas Fayre was more than just festive fun – it provided an opportunity for our pupils to develop financial literacy and enterprising skills. Each class managed a budget of £30 to plan, design, and make products to sell, keeping within budget and working towards making a profit.
We are thrilled to announce that Year 2 achieved the highest profit, raising an impressive £155.50 through their beautiful creations, including:
- Flower table decorations
- Wooden decorations
- Star clay garlands
A huge thank you to Phoebe for designing the wonderful posters that promoted the event across the school.
We also welcomed Caring Cooks, who supported Year 6 with their fabulous soup-making project, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to our Parent Teacher Community Group for their time and effort in bringing the event together. Your support made the day memorable for all.
Christmas Concerts
The festive season was brought to life through our Christmas Concerts, where pupils shared their musical talents and spread joy to families and friends. These performances were a wonderful reminder of the power of community and creativity.
A Heartfelt Thank You
This term would not have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers. Your time, energy, and dedication make a real difference to the experiences we can offer our pupils. We are deeply grateful for all you do.
Looking Ahead
I am delighted to announce the appointment of our new Deputy Headteacher, Mrs Carly Morris, who will be joining us in April after the Easter holidays. This follows a rigorous recruitment process, ensuring we found the very best candidate to support our school’s vision and values. We look forward to welcoming them to our team and continuing to strengthen our leadership as we move forward.
Spring Term
As we close the chapter on this term, I encourage everyone to take time to rest and recharge over the holidays. We look forward to seeing you back, ready for another exciting term, on Tuesday 6th January.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us live out our values every day. Each Unique, Together We Thrive.
Warm wishes for a joyful holiday season,
Claire Hammond
