Shared Learning Afternoon

Tuesday 31st March

We will be opening our doors on the 31st March at 2.30pm for a shared learning afternoon.

This will be a chance for you to see first-hand what the children have been working on and celebrate their progress.

Parking for this afternoon will be available at the Glass Church.

We encourage all parents to use this location, or walk if you live close by, as on-site parking is extremely limited and is reserved for parents with parking permits only.

Member of Staff Retiring

We are writing to let you know that Mrs Claire Quenault will be retiring and her last day with us will be Wednesday 1st April.

Mrs Quenault has been a much loved and valued member of our school community for over 25 years and her dedication, warmth and commitment to our children in our Early Years have made a lasting impression, and she will be greatly missed.

Please join us in thanking Mrs Quenault for her many years of service and in wishing her a happy, healthy and enjoyable retirement.

Anniversary Tea Towels

Our order of the anniversary tea towels has arrived.

If you have pre-paid for your tea towels, your child will come home with them either today or on Monday.

If you did not pre-pay and would like to purchase a tea towel, please let the office know. We have a limited number of extras available, which will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Summer Uniform

As we move towards the end of this term, we would like to offer a gentle reminder about our school uniform expectations.

Bel Royal Primary School – Uniform

Please ensure that children wear trainers only on their PE days, and not as everyday school shoes. Thank you for helping us maintain our uniform standards – we really appreciate your support.

With the warmer weather on the way, you may be thinking about a summer uniform. To make things easier, we will have our pre-loved clothes rail in the foyer next week, stocked with summer dresses and shorts.

Samurai Kickboxing

Are you looking for a fun and active way to keep your child engaged on the upcoming Inset Day (20th April)?

We’re running a Kickboxing Holiday Camp at Haute Vallée School, and it’s the perfect opportunity for children to try something new and see what Kickboxing is all about – no experience needed at all.

This camp is ideal for beginners and those already doing our Kickboxing classes. It’s a great chance to build confidence and learn new skills through fun games:

Camp Highlights:

  • Beginner-friendly Kickboxing
  • Fitness, coordination, confidence and discipline
  • Fun, structured activities throughout the day
  • Outdoor time for fresh air (weather permitting)
  • A great way to make new friends
  • Time away from screens

Camp Details:
Monday 20th April (Inset Day)
9am - 3pm
Haute Vallée School
£35

Spaces are limited, so if your child has ever wanted to give Kickboxing a go, this is the perfect, low-pressure introduction.

To book:
Class Manager → Classes → Enrol → Inset Day Camp

We’d love to welcome your child for a fun, confidence-boosting day!

Kind regards,

The Samurai Team

Jersey Music Service

Join the Jersey Music Service and Jersey Symphony Orchestra for an Oboe & Bassoon Discovery Session!

We are delighted to invite children in Year 3 and above to an Oboe & Bassoon Discovery Session taking place on the morning of Friday 10 April from 11.30am – 12.15pm at Les Quennevais School.

Come along and learn about these lesser-known woodwind instruments, with an opportunity to hold and try out the instruments under friendly guidance. If you have a recorder – bring it along too, to learn a short fun piece!

The session will be led by visiting oboist Nicola Hands, who will be performing in concert with the Jersey Symphony Orchestra the following day.

We hope you can join us for this enjoyable musical experience. If you would like to attend please complete the following form: https://forms.office.com/e/HmLaiR0xgq

Kind regards,

Jersey Music Service

On Saturday 18 April, Jersey Trees for Life is hosting April Adventure, a nature-themed children’s activity day at St Saviour’s Woodland.

This event is a collaboration between JET and the Lowe’s Legacy Fund (set up in memory of Dean and Charlie Lowe, who were tragically killed by a hit and run drunk driver).

This is an all inclusive fun run, walk, scurry (or however you choose to do it) which is 1 mile long along the harbour arms (dressed as squirrels if possible but not essential).

After that Scurry you can enjoy yourself in the family fun zone where there will be food and drink stalls, face painting and live music, so bring your picnic blankets and enjoy the day.
