Online Safety

Keeping Children Safe Online – What You Need to Know

At Bel Royal, we have a responsibility to keep all children and staff safe online. Online Safety is being aware of the nature of the possible threats that you could encounter whilst engaging in activity on the Internet. These threats will always be present, but learning about how to manage harmful situations will help to ensure that your children are safe when enjoying the potential of technology.

Why This Matters:
Children use technology every day for learning and socialising. We want them to be safe and responsible online.

What We Do:

  • Teach online safety in school and monitor technology use.
  • Block harmful content and track activity to keep children safe.
  • Train staff and review systems regularly.

Your Role as a Parent/Carer:

  • Sign the Acceptable Use Agreement.
  • Talk to your child about online safety and supervise their use at home.
  • Report any concerns to the school immediately.

Key Tips for Home:

  • Use parental controls on devices.
  • Encourage respectful behaviour online.
  • Remind children not to share personal information or talk to strangers online.

Together, we can create a safe digital environment for every child.
