It’s Democracy Week!
This week our children are learning all about the importance of democracy and having their voices heard.
To launch the week, KS2 enjoyed a special assembly with Deputy Hilary Jeune, who shared insights into her role in the States and answered lots of thoughtful questions.
Following this, we held our very first Bel Royal Debate! Teams from Years 4, 5 and 6 took to the floor to share their ideas and debate important issues such as: Should our summer holidays be longer? Should the States invest more money in adventurous activities in Jersey? Should all students be required to learn Jèrriais in school?
