Our Bel Royal School Council representatives attended island wide network meeting
Yesterday, our Bel Royal School Council representatives attended a School Council Network meeting at Highlands College.
During the session, the children explored what an ideal inclusive school should look like. They shared ideas around belonging, accessibility, kindness, and ensuring every pupil feels valued and supported.
Online safety was also a major topic of discussion with small exercises to see how the children feel about their photo being posted in different scenarios. At the end of the session, children were asked to cast an anonymous vote if they agreed that social media should be banned for under 16s.
After a short break, the children learnt about the plans for the re-development of Fort Regent. They were invited to contribute their own ideas about what facilities and activities the interior of the fort should offer.
